  • Question for Dan

How do you say "I love you" in Japanese?
Trick question, I know... Looked around the net for all kinds of explanations but I thought you might be able to explain the concept (or lack of) better than the links I've found.
"For every action, there is an equal and opposite criticism."

    aishiteru.
which sorta translates into '(I) am in a state of loving' not that I recomed translating it.
It doesn't get used a lot by the older generation, in terms of saying, its just more understood by peoples actions.

Or am I missing something in my expansion.. still on first cup of coffee

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.
