In reality the 8~12 times mostly does happen during the winter months. So as soon as they get over one, it's like almost time for a rerun.... .

P.S. Hope you feel better, I have my usual Sinus infection back, 4th or 5th time since winter started..... .

Yeah, I have to be CLEAR with the doctor today that regardless of what he does to fix my mouth/throat infection/irritation/whatever, I still need the sinuses fixed. They're getting better (almost no blood now) but they aren't "right" yet. My teeth still hurt for no good reason, and that tells me the sinuses are still problematic. Bleh.

8-12 a year? If we get infected that often than I only notice it once every 2-3 years.

*slaps forehead* Of course I am.

But if Gurm is trying to say that most people get a cold about the same frequency as when your in daycare than I don't notice it either way.

I can vouch about kids in daycare speading colds/flus at a high rate. Since I started working with Jason I've gotten nasty cold or bug one after the other. This has been especially annoying for me since usually i have the constitution of a horse and even if I get sick i beat it down with minimal symptoms while those around me near death. I've coined the term 'death flu' and my friends that don't have kids have started using it. I swear adults with kids are a whole other ecosystem.

So, it turns out that the Levofloxacin was TOO effective, it started killing off good bacteria and I got... thrush. Y'know, yeast infection of the mouth? I've been gargling with vile "orange" flavored antifungal stuff for a few days now.

I was feeling much better - all flu symptoms gone, mouth/throat starting to do much better... but the past 24 hours I've gotten sick AGAIN. Swollen lymph nodes on one side, lots of postnasal draining, and yesterday afternoon I needed a SERIOUS nap.

Now overnight I have developed the worst sore throat EVAR. Either I have the worst postnasal drip sore throat imagineable, or I've contracted what Julie has.

Oh, did I fail to mention that in Julie, the same flu+infection turned into not a sinus infection, but an ear infection PLUS strep? ARGH!

I'll be seeing the doctor again today.

                Remember what I said?

Cured one with a dose of antibiotics and had a couple relapses of it, almost instantly, one after another.
It sucks this year more than any other. My sister is taking round 4 of antibiotics, still not over with it yet…. .

                Get well soon.

Saw the doctor - a DIFFERENT doctor - who feels that what I have is just viral, and that the antibiotics did more harm than good. He's running cultures, but he gave me a more powerful antifungal and prescribed chicken soup, saline spray, and bedrest. *sigh*
