Problem is that most manufacturers don't make it too hard to enter the car. The reason is that someone can always smash a window and get inside. My guess is that even if the tennisball trick works, the alarm will go of.
OTOH, they do make it very hard to start the car without the key.
My parents' Volvo 850 has a deadlock setting on the central locking system; it allows one to lock the car from the outside in such a way that it is not possible to open the car from the inside (there are quite a number of warnings in the manual).
