It looks OKish, but the iPhone really is mostly about the interface.

What I'd really want: iPhone-like interface, less wide (like a normal cellphone, but all screen), 20+ gigs of storage, good mp3 player, good phone, WLAN, UMTS, GPS, synchs with my address book, calendar and mail. With a mirror on the backside.

You forgot, that doesn't weight like a brick and gets more than 2 hours of battery life.

Nice find though FB, though I'm I'd like what az wants. I don't want a smart phone until it's actually useful to me; which none currently are.

I think you might be chasing a moving target. a few years back WiFi and GPS wouldn't have been mentioned as a must-have feature in a useful phone. by the time manufactures get this current feature list right, the standards are gonna take yet another leap forward.

Not so much. The iPhone comes close, as do some others, but none have quite attained the right set of features implemented in just the right way. I'm picky as hell about things I'm spending that sort of money on.

Of course, as I've said before, I'm quite content with a phone that makes calls, has an address book and an alarm. Motorola's Motofone is damn near perfect in that regard, but it's not available here in the US.

You can't even SMS with the Motofone. I don't use that often, but I like having the option. And at the moment, I'm using my Sony Ericsson K610i as my mp3 player, and except that it can't make sense of my tags and only holds 1 GB, I'm quite happy, because I don't want to lug around a handbag full of gadgets, and I can leave the phones in my ears when I get a call.

Y'know, my T-Mobile Wing really does everything I need a Smartphone to do... and everything I need a PDA to do... and everything I need a media player to do...

But once Opera Mobile gets tweaked just a LITTLE MORE (zooming with gestures a la the iPhone would be a nice touch) it'll be even better!

Would be far too big for me. I don't want any phone (or other gadget) bigger than my current K610i, if possible I'd like it half as thick.
