I thought there were some spirited threads and info in there and didn't see any personal attacks. Did I miss some posts that made Sasq get ticked off and close it?

Seemed to me like everyone was being fairly reasonable.

Didn't Sasq do this during that last election or two, too?

Aye, sasq did, because right now its 'reasonable' but shortly it will cease to be so.

      I believe its called a pre-emptive strike.

Mea culpa. I'll be good, I promise.

But some of you guys may want to check the batteries in your sarcasm detectors.

That makes the post that broke the camels back yours.

Sorry, but I disagree with the logic. It's like executing a man the day before his trial starts.

It does save on the trial costs...

                LOL @VJ.

Anyway, I for one am sad it is closed. There just aren't many places I have where I can find some US citizens to have a debate with on their elections.

Ah well, was can man machen?

VJ, hush! We're europeans, we're civilised, we don't tell others about that little secret!

PS. A bit more seriously, I'd probably also say something about possible views of certain hypothetical political powers on certain hypothetical rights of certain hypothetical people in response to certain (hypothetical? ) poster...but I think it would be over the top with the new Sasq-announced rules

I guess we just have to figure out our own newspeak now

If so, why would you hang around here for?

The only thing I've observed which gives rise to as much spirited passion as American politics is European Soccer.

Do you mean "oh, you're with the other team? Here, let me help you release you spirit to the world" kind of "spirited" passion?

Oh, and ND66 - wasn't MURC, taken care of now by Aussie/Japanese/Yeti, was started by UK citizen for users of products made by Canadian company?

Also - don't forget what internet polls think http://remiq.net/img/7959,motivator,...a,europe,.html
