The boat was a tanker that violated the exclusion zone.

I suppose it would be too much to ask for the shipping co to foot some of the costs they created.

Asked a USCG friend in Jacksonville about this.

"The security zone only runs 3 miles offshore. Violators of a security zone can face up to $10,000 fine, 10 years imprisonment, and/or forfeiture of vessel.

The safety zone is larger. Violators could face $1,000 fine and/or 1 year."

The USAF 45th Space Wing says the weather for Friday is 90% GO for launch. AM rain, dissipating in the early afternoon. The primary concern is cumulus clouds. The high altitude winds forecast is a looking to improve throughout Friday to Sunday.

Perfect sat launch, and even better F9 performance than expected.

As anticipated, drone ship landing wasn't a success because of the thin reentry and beaking margins, but the next flight should be better.
