    There's more than enough Dunning-Kruger and confirmation bias on both sides of the global warming debate generating hot air, to cause global warming by itself.

    As far as the scientific method is concerned, we're still stuck deep in the observation stage. We don't know how to begin to develop meaningful experiments to objectively test any of the prevailing theories (other than computer simulation, which is susceptable to a sort of confirmation bias of its own).

    Simple rules all can agree on:

    pollution is bad.
    deforestation is bad.
    renewable resources are good.
    energy conservation is good (but that doesn't mean any of us is going to voluntarily limit our computer activity to a few hours a day. ).
