2007 playoffs have begun !

Wow, great way to start the '06 - '07 playoffs with the sixth longest game in NHL history! The Vancouver Canucks defeated the Dallas Stars 5-4 with two minutes left in the 4th overtime period. That's seven periods of hockey!

Up 4-2 Vancouver played their usual "lets try to defend a lead but lose it" third period and were lucky to make it to overtime. Wife and I went to bed after regulation.

I heard an announcer castigating the fans who left the game in overtime. Geez, some people have to get up in the morning to get to work.

I'm one who won't invest much needed sleep in overtime no matter how good the hockey. I'll watch the overtime goal on Sportsnet or TSN the next morning.

Longest game in Canucks history??
