Does the building still exist as shown? The structure supporting the dome is architecturally unusual and may be weak: could it have been replaced? My first reaction was a State Capitol, but I wasn't able to find any such.

Amazing: compare the size of that building for a population of < 1 million, with some of the capitols in the USA with much larger populations. Guess the Canadian provinces are richer than the US States!
