I know this sounds daft, but there is a reason: California?

Not USA, nor Baja California in Mexico. Not even parked in an American continent.

Start thinking along those lines. It is in the middle of a roundabout at the entrance to a small city with geological connections to Jurassic Park: and, yes, fossils have been found in that region.

Not UK: think of the origin of the word Jurassic

OK, France or Switzerland then? (Since Germany already was ruled out)

Switzerland sounds about OK to me, but which canton? Once you get that, you are almost home and dry, as there are only two cities in it, and that's fairly small.

Of course! You can see the beastie top right of this view, where the motorway ends. Toward the bottom is the castle on a small hill, dating partly from 1271, 20 years before the original Swiss confederation of three cantons. Most of the red roofs date from mediaeval times.

If you can't get the name of the place, now...

At last! I did say that it was slightly more difficult than the last one! Yes, this dinosaur is life-size, showing what used to roam in what is now the Jura Mountains.

                                Your turn!
