    np F.T. .. i'm just babbling anyhow.

I'm sure someone will recognize that one, Nowhere, but I'm stumped.. is it somewhere in the former Soviet Union?

ROTFL Brian, no, I haven't seen any storks there. Ivy all over them - yes.
No, not former Soviet Union (actually, it has practically nothing to do with Soviets). And, well, I'm almost sure some forum members from central Europe should recognize it (I want the name of the city...perhaps also the name of the structure)

There are too many cities in Germany, and I googled about 30 of them with no luck.. I'll just take a stab at it and say Berlin.

                        No.
But one hundred years ago it was one of the most important cities in German Empire... (more images to come soon...)

That's the Jahrhunderhalle in Breslau, now known as Wroclaw.

What more I can say...exactly , your turn. (btw, it's Hala Ludowa (People's Hall) now - I know, kinda Soviet-like...but the name itself isn't bad and everyone's got used to it ).
Weird it has taken so long, I thought this was recognizeable structure - first of its kind and for many years the biggest (yeah, I know, those two photos don't make it justice definetely)...perhaps people here don't like modernist architecture?
Unfortunatelly, although I've found (again...) some SUPERB photos of Jahrunderthalle I didn't post one of them because of browser crash (again...) (I can post them Soonâ„¢ if anyone's interested...and I was also planning to post great picture of Wroclaw's City Hall or Grunwaldzki Bridge if nobody would recognize the city from my first and second (which was coming...) photo; beautifull city overall, worth a visit)
offtopic: why, oh why, EVERY (yes, every, so don't even suggest some "new" to me ) webbrowser sooner or later crashes when with "too many" (apparently...) tabs/windows open...

PS. Sorry it was in Poland, in not-so-well-known city (it should be known, believe me...); I just wasn't on many voyages (only in Germany many years ago...) and don't know much of the world so I thought that choosing something from here (that I thought was recognizeable...) was better tham choosing something too trivial or almost randomly.

PSS. KvH, you really like spending time on restless googling, don't you?

Oh well, from your last hints it wasn't too hard. I had actually Googled Wroclaw/Breslau earlier without luck, but then finally found that one pic. That's indeed an interesting building.. first stressed-concrete structure, with a very large open area inside, Max Schmelling boxed there, and it was built to commemorate the centenary of the defeat of Napoleon at Leipzig in 1813, hence "Jahrhunderhalle." I will post something extremely difficult in a bit.

P.S. I'd like to see your other pics, Nowhere. I'm sure many more people would know the city if it wasn't for the Soviets being there so long.. it was a great challenge, and educational too.
