Yeah, because Mozilla is actually programmed to W3C standards, whereas IE is not.

        No problem.

Here's another reason I use Mozilla over IE.

IE has tabs, with an addon.

As for standards? Hmm, hard to say

What's wrong with Microsoft upping their warning level over a security risk? Seems quite prudent...you'd be better off finding other links...

Microsoft themselves have all but stated that they intend to try to oust the standards so that they 'own' the internet. Oh well, I would still take Galeon over Mozilla/IE any day :-)

Why do you want tabs? Why not load another window?

I´m trying Phoenix out, since yesterday, and so far it seems very nice.

I like the clean look and the fact that it obviously doesn´t fill the registry and windows folders with a lot of crap.

Could very well turn out to be my standard browser.

IE6 has to be their most compliant browser yet.

rubank: Phoenix indeed. What Mozilla should've been, and next to IE, is the best browser out. Plus it will probably be top choice for anyone who thinks Bill Gates loves the donkey cock.

Because it's a PITA to keep track of multiple widows like when you are comparing products. Tabbed browsing rules in this regard.

One browser, mutliple tabs, click on a tab and your on the next page... keeps your desktop/taskbar nice and clean... especially when you hide the taskbar like I do

One question - can you CTRL-PGUP/DN or whatever (like in Excel between worksheets) between Moz tabs? I would kinda miss ALT-TABbing between my IE windows if there is no convenient equivalent...

But maybe it's time I went back over (I think M14 was the last I tried...) - just had to do too many reinstalls recently for it to be worth it.

Actually, I believe that distinction goes to IE5.5/Macintosh. Weird, huh?

At Ars Technica they have an article about Mozilla (it's listed on the right side), and it talks a bit about standards-compliance, especially w.r.t. CSS. Might be worth a glance over.

OK, I was being a bit self-centred there. I don't run dualhead, but I do run at 1600x1200. My browser window is normally the full height of my screen and about 2/3 the width (I still think of a web page a lot like a piece of paper). I read "why don't you just open another window?", looked at my setup, and thought "is this guy on crack?" My bad.

Ctrl+Tab works with Phoenix (as do Page Up and Down, but Tab seems more consistent with Alt+Tab )

                                Try Phoenix instead GNEP

Edit: Ribbit - I tend to tile 4 windows at 896x672 (used to be 1600x1200 split into 800x600, but now running my monitor at 1792x1344). Tabbing would be nice to put different webpages into groups (i.e. one window could have each MURC forum, another window could have a tab for a bunch of online shopping sites), but I rarely have that many windows open (possibly due to the fact that by the time any webpage loads, I've enough time to read the current page 10 times ).

                                P.
