But no bsod or other strange things with the /onecpu switch?

If so, remove the Live or try Gurm's way of installing the creative drivers (see FAQ). Otherwise start troubleshooting

Looks like you're gonna have to bite the bullet and start the long process of trouble shooting. It's a pain but theres so many varibles here processors, memory, network card, Video card, Motherboard etc. Since you don't have a definite trigger it's gonna be days before your sure you got the culpritt.

        i know...

I will try a different 8500 driver as I am getting the infinate loop error. Anyone here got an 8500 with SMP?

I will also try Gurm's Audigy drivers. Do you think they are more likely to work in SMP than the stock MS ones?

Don't know about the 8500 drivers. But I had a lot of problems with creative drivers in my duallie until I replaced the Live. (Maybe gurm drivers work or creative has in the mean time solved the issues)

I'll remove the live and go back to my onboard sound.
That should do for starters. Unless anyone is aware of problems with C-Media chipsets and SMP???

And another BSOD with MEMORY MANAGEMENT.
Looks like it's time to find a new home for the processor

If there is, Zokes has it, somehow.

Paddy - if that is the answer, I may have a buyer for the chip soon, if that is any consolation.
