sort of.

I got three BSODs in one day when i had the PCI-USB2 controller connected.

I have rmoved it and I will wait untill saturday to see if everything is OK. Then i need to get into contact with ASUS and see if they can send me a replacement.

I still have to confirm that the Live! and the SCSI controller works in SMP. It's taking time because the BSODs are ... fairly random.

more problems with just the two CPUs, the AIW and the NIC.

I admit defeat.

I have removed the second CPU (for good) and re-inserted all of my hardware. If I get more BSODs then there is still hope!

I hope that all this hasn't buggered my OS

Oh well, back to single CPU land

Computer 15 - 0 Paddy [MU]

Computer chuckles smuggly in the corner.

Just had the gut feeling this would happen. It will now wait five days and blue screen with that signal processor.
Sorry to hear about it, looks like saving your penny times and getting a couple of MP's and possibly another motherboard.

I just wanted to prove that it could be nothing else.

If i had the cash, I would get a couple of MP2000+s

Am I the only one here not ruling out the PSU?

Oh i dont know mate.

I guess it could be... as i definatley have more problems with the CPU in than out. The more PCI cards in the computer, the more likely that i will get a problem too. I have a 500w Enermax PSU (link below). That should be enough, shouldn't it?

Well, install MBM or something, and see what the motherboard thinks the voltages are. See any droops?

Also, can your mains handle it?

mbm reports a couple of abnormalities with the -5v (-6.50v) and the -12v (-10.80v). Although I am not sure how reliable that is.

I am gonna scan through the BIOS again, because I am sure that the -ve voltages must be listed there...

I wouldn't be too worried about the negative voltages. IIRC, modern PCs only use them for reference signals, and serial communication and the like.

Quite.

I have never had any power issues before. Well with this PSU anyway
