    These are looking at a nice juicy price what do they overclock like.

    I got my celery II 533 for around $120 shipped, and its been behaving nicely. I got it up to 800MHz @ 1.55 volts on my old BH6 rev 1.0. I tried to make 896MHz @ 1.7v, and it goes into windows but its not stable. I cant seem to coax any more voltage out of my motherboard. Right now its running a solid 824MHz @ 1.6v.

    I recall having to bump my celery 300a to 2.3v to get 450 initially, but over time I was able to drop the voltage to 2.1v. So I figure 896MHz stable is attainable, I just need to let it burn in some more.

    This thing is as good a value as my 300a was, if not more.

        There is (was?) a trick to bypassing the abit voltage limit in softmenu.

        1. Up your voltage to +.2v
        2. Flash your bios. (whatever's latest)
        3. You should now be able to go up another +.3v

        It's been a while, so your milage may vary.

          I have a Celeron 2@566 that I just put into my old BH6. I got it up to 708 and it doesn't want to run at 100 FSB no matter what I do. Oh well.....

            Thats why I went with the 533. 800MHz is a more realistic target then 850, and if you find youve got a particularly good processor you dont have to up the bus speed much to get more from these high-multiplier freaks.

            GT, you need to up the voltage. Your BIOS should be able to, its a BH6 after all. SoftMenu ignores the voltage setting the slocket specifies when you "User Define" the voltage, so I cant see why you have any problem upping the voltage. Im running with an MSI slocket that includes voltage settings, all of which the BIOS ignores.

            Oh yeah, thanks cjolley, I knew a friend who pulled that trick back with his original BX6, but I just assumed Abit would not continue to be that stupid with newer boards and BIOS, so I didnt bother trying. It worked great, but even at 1.8v this things still not stable @ 896 (but it does now correctly identify my CPU, sorta). Im not going to burn this thing up for a few lousy MHz. Ill give it another go in a few weeks when this things burned in, but for now 824 @ 1.6 is fine

              GT, have you made sure, that when you try 100FSB, that your AGP Clock is set to 2/3?

                Hi Guys,

                I'm writing this on my new Celeron 566 ...

                Right now it's clocked at 875MHz (103 FSB) and I was able to complete one CPU mark at 952 (112 FSB), but it get's too hot at that clock and only CPU Idle prevents me from crashing.

                I'll write some notes and post 'em in General Hardware, because Asus told me no Cel-2 or Cumine would run on my P2B-S Rev 1.02 ...

                Might take a few hours though.

                      Get the 533. As you can see, Maggi is having stability problems at 875 and I cant get my system stable at 896 even with .3v above standard (and my cooling is outrageous). So that means frankly the 600 is out and the 566 is risky. But do keep in mind, some other people cant even make 800. Its not a guarantee, but the 533 @ 800 has the best probability of success, and if you feel you can squeeze more out of the processor you wont have to up the bus speed much to do so.

                        Nope, MadCat ... it's rock stable @ 875 MHz !!!

                        I wrote it got unstable @ 952 MHz ...

                        Anyway, initially it didn't post at all, i.e. there was no beep upon power up.

                        I had to raise the VCore to 1.8V to get it running at all, maybe because my MoBo is just too old (at least according to ASUS it is too old ... )

                        I recommend the 566, cos it seems that those easily hit 100MHz FSB.
                        I got a Pabst cooler/fan combo and my CPU hovers around 50°C when giving full throttle and I bet with a little additional cooling I could reach stable 112MHz FSB posing me a bit below the GHz and my CPU costs less than 190 US-$ (379,- DM to be precise).

                        Go get 'em ..

                        To those that couldn't reach 100MHz:

                        Up to voltage !!!

                        Mine survived an accident at 2.2V and that melted a bit of the core surrounding black stuff, but hey even my BIOS thinks it's okay to run at 1.8V, i.e. no ERROR report in my powermanagement like at 1.9V.

                          Sorry Maggi, I misread your post This is looking exactly like the 300a...some of them just wouldnt make 450, no matter how much voltage you put through em. Ive already tried to help GT98, but it seems that he cant make 100MHz FSB even at 1.8v.

                          As for me and my crusade for stable 896MHz, that may become a reality after I let this sucker burn in.

                              896MHz stable @ 1.85v! Prime95 hasnt crashed yet!
                              Im not likely to keep running it at this setting, but its nice to know it can handle it!

                              I have an MSI Master slocket Maggi, and although there are voltage settings they seem to have no effect. No matter what I set it to, SoftMenu reports the default voltage as 1.5 (now 1.7 after I used the old ABIT flash trick). Atleast I have good-ole softmenu to change the voltage
