I have six monitors in my home at the moment, I already tried all of them. Same thing. It's not anything but the card. It's going back, and will try another one.

Hey Rags, see if u can pick up another brand of GF3 if u can. I'm considering a card with VIVO, so the Asus's GF3 card is being considered.

EB only has the VisionTek available. It's supposed to be one of the higher quality cards you can get (it is built in the US). I got the replacement sitting here with me, and am installing into my bench machine now.

But did you try it with different vga cables on each monitor or did you use the same cable on all of them???

            Just to make sure...

Went to a lan party at my brother-in-laws house last night, what a blast!

There were 13 people, 7 of which had some form of nvidea ranging from tnt2 ultra to 1)gf3, 2 had radeons (1-64mb and one 32mb), 3 had 3dfx cards, and lowly me with my Suped up G400

ALL players asked what I was running after saying how clean it looked, and yes many were faster than mine, but I was playing all games with ease and winning a few even with my hyper extended left middle finger (karate accident )

And I don't wear glasses at all

O.K..so you eliminated the monitor and cables as a possible cause and you've tried 2 cards so it isn't a faulty card the problem either.

Exactly what do you see that doesn't look right compared to the G400???

Btw... do you have the possibility of trying the card on another system, just to see what happends, since the card is quite a bit more power hungry than the G400(it runs right at the limit of the agp spec).

                      Durango...

Just because other users have faster cards doesn't make them beter players...

Wanna go a little one on one with me,just for kicks... .

Problem number one: Shadowing of text at 1280/85hz and above.

Problem number two: Excessive screen shake.

Problem number three: mouse movements and scrolling cause flickering and/or flashing of pixels (quite annoying at times)

Uh, yah, that's the first thing I have done. All of my monitors are fine, and their cables are fine.

Actually that's not true, I haven't really tried the second card yet, I haven't had the time to go through it yet.

Too bad you don't understand that Rags knows what he's doing, and has covered 3x the angles you can think of. Maybe the VisionTek just doesn't look as good.

I may have found one your problems(screen shaking).

On my system i set the mouse refresh rate at 200 hz(i'm using a logitech mouse).

Because if i set at anything below 100 hz, i also get the screen shaking problem you mentioned when using the scroll bar.
