Kruzin, you seemed to miss my point,

If you misrepresent facts deliberately, that is lie in my opinion, I dare you to disagree with me on this point.

Misrepresenting facts by accident, because you have been duped by your new master when you should know better, is just stupidity, but I already forgave you all for that.

Anyway, by repeating Matrox's line that new drivers will be out SOON, you are acting as a unofficial spokeperson for that company. Whether that is paid or unpaid is open to argument, but sclarke seems to think you guys are getting something out of it, and you have no denied it, therfore I have to conclude that it is more paid than unpaid!

Again I repeat, I gave you all a way out, all you needed to do was keep your mouths shut.

But you all have repeated often time how great the new G-200 drivers are. (See my orginal post about what should be done with drivers that are great, in summary they should be released!!)

Filmgeeks reply to SteveC's ridiculous statement was spot on, it is only our money!!

To be honest, with all the recent releases by Matrox so people can build their own video drivers, I really think Matrox have now given up trying to develope drivers and just thrown it open to anybody who might have a clue, which seems to be just about everybody other than Matrox.

To all those who think I and others should be thankful to the Beta Testers, I have to ask you what for??????
For telling us how great the G-200 beta drivers are? For supporting the beta drivers, oh that is right, nobody but the beta testers have the beta driver. Oh my, boy am I thankful, any of you want to tell me what else I should be thankful for??

Support for a lying, deceitful corporation, in spite of all their actions contrary, except for a select few, who just happen to constantly come out in support of the lying, deceitful corporation, are either in on it, or they are stupid.

I am humble enough to admit being sucked into Matrox's lies for a while, but that changed some time back now, the least you beta testers can do is be magnanimous enough and say you too have been sucked in to being unofficial spokepersons for Matrox.

      Here we go again...
To all those 'hippie freaks' rehashing the same old complaints about Matrox's excellent G200/G400's here's what I think:

(Can you tell I'm getting fed up with this thread? )

If you don't like them there's always TNT2...

A happy [-ish] G200 owner looking forward to the G400

        Hi Whisper,

I won't start an arguement with you, but please read the following ... it might help understanding our (beta boyz) situation:

We are not allowed to post anything particular about any beta product. That covers the drivers and to some extend the G400s.

We were the ones asking big M for permission to give some input to the forum. Our intension was letting the public know that work is in progress, because the silencine was deafening.

        ...

I was asked by Matrox if I would sign an NDA for beta testing drivers ... I decided to extend that particular NDA to a general one with the purpose of participating in upcoming soft- & hardware products.

        ...

        Now the important part:

Every single note that we reveal in this forum can make us loose out beta testing status, due to violating our NDA, thus it should be more than obviuos that if we post anything here it cannot be the report of a bug or simpler 'no bad news from Beta Boyz' ...

I'm pretty sure that the fact that you haven't heard any bad news from us made you think we are paid or whatever by Matrox ... beleive me we are not !!!

        ...

What would you have done if we have kept the silence, i.e. if we left the news to be posted by Matrox only ?

I think the problems have been made worse due to the fact that poeple have seen beta versions and when asked about release dates they have said real soon rather than saying I don't really know.
It's made even worse when you get the nudge nudge wink wink we know there there response.
This has resulted in a lot of frustration and hence this thread.

            Hi Kasper,

I see what you mean, but would you have preferred it to wait until big M decides to give information by itself ?

I fear you wouldn't have heard a single word ... neither on PD5.x nor on W9x-ICD nor on NT-ICD ...

And to emphasize the word 'soon' ... that's what we heard from Matrox, thus we passed it on to you guys in this forum.

Well, I don't know about the rest of the beta boyz but I for one am so tried of being called a liar and stupid that I am out of here. After dealing with the likes of Whisper, OJ, sef255 and other I have had enough. I will still continune my UNPAID beta testing for Matrox but no more reports to this forum. I don't want to risk violating my NDA any longer because I feel that what I am doing is important.

Haig used the word soon around Jan as well.
What I was trying to say is it's better to say I've seen the drivers but haven't any release dates rather than "soon". Unfortunatly the definition of soon that Matrox uses differs slighlty from what everyone uses.

                    Hi Kasper,

did Haig use the word 'soon' in corelation to the W9x-ICD, or was it more generally meant for 'a' driver ?

                    Just curios ...

                      The new drivers in fact.
My orginal question was had they got dust on and when where they going to be dusted off.
By now they've got more than dust probably rigamortice as well.
Some how I got the feeling Matrox want poeple to move over to the G400 and to forget about the G200. Releasing new drivers would slow this down.

                        Gee...

Joel, Maggi, pleeeeease don't take dramatic decisions on the only basis of whinners!

For those several ones who refuse to understand your position, we are dozens who don't care a damn as long are we keep in touch with you.

I personnaly feel no right in judging you beta tester's positions concerning Matrox, I don't know what I would do in your place anyway, as would Whisper admit if he'd be just a little honest. Sure there are some philosophical extents to the story, but that ain't no war and if big M makes the rules...

I am grateful for all the help I had from those traitors , and I don't want to loose contact because of some silly ego wars. I'm sure many others feel the same.

I hate Matrox, but I'm on your side

The only semi official release date for PD 5.x was when the retail G400 ship, these are not yet shipping. The way Matrox works I will probably know when the drivers are to be released before the beta testers do.

I'll be sticking around for the moment... might stop talking about beta this and beta that though.... Go back to my other unpaid job for Matrox - tech support.

And I don't care if you don't like my sig, it's staying.
