I've been lurking around here for about a month, waiting with giddy anticipation for my G400 MAX (any day now, any day now, any day now...) and I really have to say I've never seen you guys descend to such a level before.

Re-read the posts, guys, you sound like, dare I say it, Mac advocates. I rarely see this kind of b.s. except on mac newsgroups.

      Seriously.

      Repeat after me:

The Matrox G400 is just a video card.

      A very nice card.

      A very very nice card.

That's why I'm spending $400CDN on the bloody thing and waiting 5 weeks for it.

But I also have a Voodoo 2 SLI setup, so I'm not missing out on Q3 or DK2 or anything else while I'm waiting (the games are ugly tho').

I can understand where Brain is coming from. Just because I'm willing to wait and he isn't doesn't make him the anti-christ (or even worse, a developer for 3dfx {or is it 3DFX?} or nVidia {or is it nvidia?}).

      Lighten up.

No, we are not like MAC Heads, We are aware there are other cards out there, we are critical of Matrox, we know that Matrox isn't best in every category, we have a sense of humor, we have lives outside of Matrox, we know Matrox is not world....It's a church Damn It! Where is Father Joel when you need him?

Is this some kind of bust?
        Yes, it's very impressive.

Hi guyz, I'm still on the "dark side" but thought I might add a few things.
First thing first - Yo Lukey !!!

And now, I currently own an ATI FURY, a G200 and V2. Something most people 4get is compatability problems - yes, they still exist. Matrox never had them, and Nvidia doesn't suffer from them as well. Nvidia has an edge in the fact that they support Direct Draw res change 4 OpenGL which Matrox doesn't. After fiddling with CL TNT2U and my crop of cards I can say that currently the best chipsets are Matrox and Nvidia since the ATI board suffers major compatability issues and still has some major f**ks in his drivers.
TNT weak spot is TERRIBLE DVD playback unlike the Rage 128. Since Matrox managed to have perfect DVD playback they have a huge edge over Nvidia here.
Just for further information, it would b good for some people to check the G400 MAX review in here: http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/g400max/default.asp

Almost 4got, Matrox is currently the only board with good hardware "Zoom"m once u get used 2 it, it's hard living without.
ATI had it, HAD it. Stupid morons.

Fellow brethren of the mighty 'M', please take a moment to realize that we do have those amongst us that have yet to see the light. They have been tempted by the evil TNT and his gluttony for fps, he has cast a spell upon their eyes blinding them to the truth of image quality and high 32bit performance. This is not to say that these souls are lost forever, and we as the faithful followers of 'M' must have faith that they will see the light before it is too late and thus be damned forever. But brethern we must also realize that we can not save everyone. There are those that have been pulled too far into the evil clutches of TNT, who are too blind from staring at poor quality images to be saved. All we can do is to ask the mighty 'M' to please have mercy on their souls.

              Father Joel

The only thing MAC heads have over us here is the groovey colors. And I have heard that Matrox is starting to ship in some real cool colors.
Father Joel will lead the Flock, you will all need to be hazed in the light of the Matrox. Father take the sheep and Lead them...

I'll remove all that if you object.

A word of advice. Change your provider. He is too stupid to even be one. Credit card #'s are all over the place in there.
