  • Jorden,

What I am getting at is that I am not some anti G400 troll in here or whatever you were thinking, I was just pointing out a problem with the earlier drivers, not saying the G400 couldn't run the demo properly compared to other cards. (If I am reading your mind correctly that is, I really had no idea where you were coming from, perhaps less mind reading and plain reading is in order) FYI, I only have a G400 to run anything on, I sold my TNT 5 months ago.

Some folks here seem to get into an us vs them zone any time the G400 might not compare favourably to something else, or even if something could be implied that way.
Bit too freaking sensitive about it. ("The Faithful")I don't understand it myself. Who cares if you don't have the faster video card? I am only interested in what does what, myself, I don't place value judgements on it, or take it personally.

On another topic, since the other one is rather tedious and boring, ("mortals, sheesh" ) I thought that the pool thing might have been EMBM as well, but it didn't seem likely for a benchmark to have that much card specific code in it to me, I was surprised to see the bump mapping test in it.

To answer any and all further questions, it is 3 feet long and thick as a bologna.

    • Decide for yourself if your's has bumpmapping, I don't care, it looks pretty darn good to me

      1) This has dropped some quality in the JPG conversion, but you all know how that works.
      2) Yes, my GeForce is running on AGP 2x according to WCPUID.

      • That's okay, Himself

I'm not defending my G400 to all costs an know it's not EMBM now, just by asking someone who might know about it

You can read the result in my other thread as well

                • Which is why my CPU 3D Mark is so much higher than everybody elses, because the GeForce is handling most of the work... see, it didn't take much to figure it out now did it!

                  Boy am I glad I ditched that Voodoo3 3000!

                  • Then I'd expect the Geforce would have higher scores than it does.

                      • Greebe,
You know, I was wondering the same thing. I am using an oem g400 32mb dual card. I've been using mga tweak to get a little more out of it. I can either set it to 150 core and 200 memory if I slow down the memory timings. However, it seems as if I get better scores by setting 145 core and 195 memory with more aggressive memory timings. I did come to the conclusion that I pretty much reached the limits of my g400. At the same time, I'm still wondering why my q3a scores are lower than everyone else. at 1024x768 all max and trilinear filtering I get about 25 fps, with bilinear I get 34. Still trying to tweak it.....
