    Hey Superfly,

You are absolutely right. And the Matrox cards are already way ahead when it come to features and that is where they will continue to excel. I think with the G800, and it is rumored that it will be release by the end of the year, that we will see the high res/high frame rates that will make it a good gaming card but it will also have the most available features making it the best all around video card choice. Which is the way all the Matrox cards have ever been. The best all around.

we can only hope that the new G800 is everything WE hope it will be,to be more specific, the fastest, best looking(2d and 3d),most feature packed video card that can easily stand to anyone else's product by the time it's released, throw in a great set of drivers(both directx and openGL),and it will be a hit, nuff said... .
      note to self...

Don't worry, Im still here. I was busy with work for a while and I sold my computer and switched from cable to ADSL so I was down for a few days.
Basically, Maggi, the reason I was short with you is because you just blew me off when I asked whether the Geforce can grab the overlay and output it to TV. The reason could be that you seem very attached to the Matrox while I just care about tech specs and not advocacy and it does not matter to me what video card I use as long as it meets my needs.
Jorden seems to have answered my question the way I was hoping it to be answered, just the facts that he knows related to the question. When and if I get my hands on a Geforce GTS Deluxe , I will post what I think of the Geforce in comparison with the G400.

Sorry, Octoman .. didn't mean to offend you in any way !

It was just that I didn't know that ASUS offers that overlay-2-fullscreen support and as me and some others found out there seems to be no mentioning of that feature.

Besides that you might have noticed the clown-smiley I used in my first reply to you, indicating the cheaky mood I was in when answering your request.
I admit though, that I should have inserted an "a.f.a.i.k." to reflect my state of knowledge back then.

Once again, sorry if you felt offended by my posting, but you cannot really blame me for not knowing a sort of 'hidden' feature, can you ?

Anyway, no hard feelings on my side and I hope you're not mad at me anymore after clearing this misunderstanding up a little ...

I'm looking forward to your report on the GTS.

          Cheers,
          Maggi

PS: I do like Matrox products, because they fullfill my needs, but that does not imply that I'm blind for other products. Given the fact that there was virtually no info available on the feature you mentioned, my answer was just like Jorden's ... I posted the facts that I knew back then.
Despite my nickname causing confusion, I am not female ...
