G800 sounds like it means it will be twice as good as the G400. I wonder?????
Lets put it this way, when the G400 max came out, it had kick ass 3D AND better 2D than the other cards. It wasn't the best, but it was competitive. Lets say for comparisons sake it was 85% as good as the best 3D cards at the time, I hope the next high-end 2D/3D card is 90% as good or better than the best 3D cards. I'll settle for 90% though.
Actually my G400 Max is fine anyways, why am I dreaming?

We had bets in the office about how this announcement would be turned
into another failure for Amiga.
We went upto Montreal and spent a whole day in their development labs.
We saw the G800, and we saw the stuff that they are working on past
that. They are going a very different way, placing a strong emphasis
on staying up there with Polygon Pushing whilst adding features that
make the 3D experience far more realistic - and no, it isn't more
polygons.
In addition, they have the best video hardware, something that
Amigans have demanded from us from the outset.

Zyn needs to be emailed every thread, with everything he said above, before we have anyone in here that tries to tell him (and everyone in the future) again, what he did say wrong
Ant, isn't there an email option in this UBB, that the moment you type something like that, you get emailed all the threads that had those (questions & answers) before?
that wouldn't help, because there aren't any hard fact to contradict anything he says. However, if you have the slightest idea what's currently going on, you know he full of it!
But the thing is, 99% of us don't have a clue as to whats going on.. hence the rampant speculation and somewhat cynical attitude as towards when M will release the infamous Gxxx card.
Yeah, if I was part of the beta test team or even had some info as to wtf is going on over at Mr, maybe I wouldn't feel so helpless. But the rest of us here are just looking for a sliver of hope to hold onto.
