      And I hope that will Kick Nvidia Ass

      I'm sorry, you're wrong. The "new" cards are the Millennium G450 and the G450 eTV. The italian text used to have a picture of "win a G450" but they changed that to the 25th anniversary logo.

            OK, you're not wrong about the meaning of the text, you're wrong that they'll be giving away next generation cards
            The 2 "new" cards at this moment are the G450 and the G450eTV and those are the cards they'll be giving away. That's what I meant

            • I REALLY think Matrox will annouce the G550/G800 at CEBIT; here're the facts:

              The English/Deutsch/French/Italian CEBIT pages don't say exactly the same thing: the English page says "Come see what's new at Matrox" while the Italian and French are saying "Discover the new stuff Matrox has in reserve..."; That's fact #1...

              Also, why does Matrox is making so much fuss about CEBIT??? You don't see them making such noise about their presence at GDC/IDF/E3/COMDEX???; That's fact #2...

              And, why did Matrox chose CEBIT to give a 3D Tech speech???; That's fact #3...

              And finally; Why is Matrox hiring BOOTH BABES first the FIRST TIME EVER???; That's fact #4...

              Such, everything's pointing at a CEBIT announcement...

              • All interesting points frankymail except I think you're all reading too much into the discrepancies in the PR translations. But tell me why Matrox would not announce at GDC when they've already invested in a showing there? A couple days shouldn't make any difference.

                • they're hiring booth babes because they don't have anything else to show, they're talking about 3d tech (we will see that tech implemented in the cards we'll see later this year), and they make a fuss about cebit because it's the biggest pc expo with lots of oems (gamers don't really matter) and because it fits so nicely with their anniversary

                  • About the booth babes, it's still a first for Matrox;

                    About CEBIT, it's not the biggest computer show... (maybe the biggest in Europe, but the the world's biggest...)

                    Also, why give a 3D Tech implementation (read:"how to include new 3D features in software"...) if gamers are not targetted... maybe because they have some new hardware that boast these features...

                    About M's silver anniversary, they're not making so much fuss about it; you don't see ads on the web that say something like "Matrox: 25 years of innovation" or "We've been in the industry for 25 years; let's try another 25..." It's something to be proud about, but Matrox isn't bragging to much about it...

                            • Yes, Cebit is absolutely _amazingly_ huge. Makes Comdex look like a yard sale.

                              Thats defiantely the place to make a big announcement or to wow the industry. Tech talks would seem like commonplace at a show that large, and 'booth babes' are just to draw more attraction to the booth in such a large show.

                              Lets hope something great comes out of M though.
