    • Don't flame me for saying this, but is the Parhelia already expensive enough? Why would people buy three moniters (or two more) if they're not doing design work?

Before you ask, I'm no nVIDIOT. I AM going to buy a Parhelia 128MB.

          • Has anyone from Matrox seen the comments on the Reg made by Ben From Hyperion?

Can/WILL any Matrox execs confirm/deny that Hyperion is in possession of one of the new "Parhelia" cards?

            • It's anyones guess, a lot of developers have had alpha hardware for some time and Matrox have been closely associated with the new Amiga goings on. The only thing to cast doubt on it is the G1000 reference, Parhelia has never been known has G1000 apart from in the hoaxes that have been flying around the Net.

                  • As you are here perhaps you would like to tell us all why you feel it is OK to publish information that so blatently breaks Matrox's NDA? Were you yourselves under NDA for this information or has someone else provided it for you and broken theirs? If the former is the case why do you totally disrespect your NDA? If the latter is the case will you now retract the information knowing that it has come from a broken NDA to show us that you have some ethics?

                    • Ant, he is quoted as saying, "Please note, we can't violate NDA because we _do _not _sign _anything with Matrox Graphics. And never receive any info from Matrox."

                      • Ant, this thread started as a consequence of VigilAnts article on your front page. IIRC you said somewhere around that time that you were not under NDA, but didn´t the information in VigiAnts article come from sources under NDA? And you have since strongly emphasized that the info was/is correct.
If so, what is the principal difference from iXBT publishing the info they´ve got?

                          • No, actually, you aren't. You know quite well that you recieved your information from someone else that IS under NDA. At least here in the states, it's illegal for you to publish it. It's kind of the same as receiving stolen goods.

Let me assure you that all the information I have gathered in advance was not sourced from NDA bound individuals, sure maybe somewhere down the road there happened to be an NDA to cross, but it wasn't in the MURCs immediate circle.

Also I chose not to post information I had gathered that was quite a bit more specific than what I had shown publicly. After discussing it with Ant, we had decided to tread very carefully with the information that was obtained and offered a glimpse of what to expect (intentionally vague), and when to expect it.

                              • OK so were you aware at the time of receiving this information that it was coming from someone who was violating a strict NDA? What were your reasons then for publishing this information? If you were not aware this was information from someone breaking a strict NDA you obviously are now and will you withdraw it? If not then that just proves as I stated you have no ethics and are just "glory hunters" and your actiohns just continue to do harm to the rest of the online hardware community.
