I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say this card will finally be able to compete with the likes of a Geforce 2 or maybe 3 mx card.
The NV 30 will still steal the show. I used to be a huge Matrox fan like all of you seem to be, but almost 3 years later I guess I'm all grown up, I barely even load 3D apps or games much anymore
Celeron 566@877 1.8V, 256meg generic PC-100 RAM (running at CAS2) Abit BH6, G400 16meg DH@150/200, Western Digital Expert 18gig, Ricoh mp7040A(morphed to mp7060A) Pioneer 6X DVD slot load, Motorola Cable Modem w/DEC ethernet card, Soundblaster Live Value Ver. 2, Viewsonic GT 775
I'm gonna go out on a limb as well as say this card will have faster 3d graphics than the Geforce 6. Each of it's dual onboard cpu's (see below) will outperform Intel's Itanium II. It will have a built-in cooler and will be able to magically produce beer.
Primary system specs:
Asus A7V266-E | AthlonXP 1700+ | Alpha Pal8045T | Radeon 8500 | 256mb Crucial DDR | Maxtor D740X 40gb | Ricoh 8/8/32 | Toshiba 16X DVD | 3Com 905C TX NIC | Hercules Fortissimo II | Antec SX635 | Win2k Pro

No...you see, if you had grown up, you would have never given up on Matrox to start with.
You say you barely even use 3D? So why would a GeForce card turn your crank? It's common knowledge that the Matrox G series cards rule the desktop. Someone grown up would know that, and not waste their money on a pure gaming card.

If they are able to fix this bug, maybe.
According to the poster if you turn on anisotropic filtering the second TMU turns off, disabling multitexturing :-p
And even if they are able to build a slightly faster card, can't tell the difference much between 200fps and 225fps anyway, I'd be willing to bet that they have rasied the bar again, on image quality and features, so high that it's going to take the competition 2-3 years to get even close again.
