Whilst being relatively new here, I must say that it becomes more and more obvious that these forums are more of a "community" than most. Beyond3d forums are another good example of some decent discussions going on amongst people who know what they are talking about and have also gotten to know each other.

I think that what is not appreciated are posts that demonstrate that the person writing it has not had the courtesy (sp?) to read some of the other threads, and pick up where others are coming from, and what else has been said. And are rude to boot.

Just my 2p's worth.

As the offending post is rather new,perhaps an explanation would be a better recourse,rather than an attack.
The beta testers are individuals that test the cards,they report faults and undoubtedly aid in the finalization of drivers.
Do companies have policies as far as info being released?

If I got a new video card to test and had to follow this code of silence to insure the arrival of other cards,you would probably find me in a closet clutching my parhelia with tape over my mouth!

Does the info they give us help,YES!
I have always been a Matrox fan,the Parhelia is drawing me back.
Any tidbit of info is a small treasure we should all relish,and I thank the BB"s for sharing what they can.
After reading their posts and advice over the years,I know they are as anxious (as we all are) to finally be able to disclose all they can and once again the family of Murc will be rushing to the aid of those that need it with their Parhelias.

Refresh my memory... we all had to reregister back in sep. '99, cause you upgraded the server or sumtin'.... right? Do you still have the OLD database lying around?

If so the top 100 members to get the most respect around here could be drawn from that old list, right? that's if we go by DukeP's formula.

I don't think I'm among them but I seem to remember registring back in '98 sometime....

Then again someone like Dr. Mordrid could be considered a n00b if we used that formula. Or am I wrong?
