@stmok... While it's true that small LCD's don't consume the power of their equivelent crt cousins, the larger high quality ones DO! Also remember that there aren't any LCD's on the market that support even 8 bit color as of yet, only 6 bit. They have a higher pitch and have issues with ghosting if you don't buy a quality one."Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss
"Always do good. It will gratify some and astonish the rest." ~Mark Twain

Damn you and your need to register before attachments can be viewed - now I had to register to view these shots and I can't lurk in the shadows anymore. Now look what you made me do, you.. you.. uh.. evil people!
And oh, thanks a lot for the info guys, I'll most likely switch my GF2Ti to a Parhelia in Q1/03 (there's a reason I can't do that earlier, but hopefully the price goes down a bit too, with NVidia releasing a card every even second).
I'll retreat back to the shadows now and wait for the benchmarks.Last edited by kissakala; 24 June 2002, 01:22.XP 2000+ (Alpha PEP66T + Delta FFB0612SHE), Abit KX7-333, Hercules GF2 Ti, 2 x 256Mb Kingston PC2700 c2.5, 2 x Maxtor DiamondMax D740X, 24x10x40 Plextor PX-W2410TA CD-RW, 16x Liteon LTD-163 DVD-ROM, SoundBlaster Live! Ooh, you have a Parhelia.. tell you what - I'll tell you my score if you send that card to me. Deal? No? Awwww..
Seriously, I haven't tried yet. I'm running in "stability mode" (2xAGP, 266MHz mem, etc fun stuff) so I'd probably score lower than a TNT2. Why am I doing this? Well, I'm trying to find the best (stability without sacrificing too much speed) drivers, PCI card placement, BIOS settings, etc - I got this motherboard and CPU just two weeks ago.
Can't really say when I'll start testing gfx performance, I've been fighting with my sound card recently but now it looks like it's going to give up, and a winner is me (intentional).XP 2000+ (Alpha PEP66T + Delta FFB0612SHE), Abit KX7-333, Hercules GF2 Ti, 2 x 256Mb Kingston PC2700 c2.5, 2 x Maxtor DiamondMax D740X, 24x10x40 Plextor PX-W2410TA CD-RW, 16x Liteon LTD-163 DVD-ROM, SoundBlaster Live! Kissakala ->
You can still lurk in the shadows, if you would like to do that. You can edit your user profile options to enable invisible mode.
By the way, is there any change that your location is Finland? Your user name sounds finnish language to me.
Anyway, welcome!

Those Morrowind pictures raise some questions... the FAA 16x doesn't seem to be hitting all the polygons correctly. In the first picture the edges around the wood beams that are almost flush with the face of the building, the bottom of the left window, the smaller light colored rock on the bottom left, and the bottom of the wall on the right all lack AA. It appears that the intersections of polygons aren't AA'ed. Can anyone say if this is a driver issue or something else that'll be fixed?

Yup, I'm finnish. And those shots look rather nice. To tell you the truth, all I wanted to see was the water.
And yeah, you're right Jon, W2k's Magnifier (heh, the little bugger has its uses) reveals that as well. The funny thing is that for example the edges on the left side of those alcove(?) windows seem antialiased while the edges on the right side do not. Either that or my Hardware Fullscreen Antialiaser (tm) Hyundai (yup, the picture is a bit cloudy but hey, FSAA without performance hit!) is playing games on me again.
