I started really late with a G450. One of my friends had a Millennium II with a 19 inch monitor, and I was constantly impressed with the resolutions and clarity of the output and the linux support so I always had in the back of my mind that I wanted to get a matrox board. Once I had enough money to replace my Creative Labs 3D Blaster Banshee (terrible card for linux) I got the G450. I plan on getting a Parhelia once I get a pay check for my summer job and there are linux and win98 drivers available.

My 1st Matrox-card was the G400 MAX which I bought back in oct. 1999 for my new computer. I still use it and think it's amazing that it still works very well in new games like JK2 and other FPS after almost three years.

I don't know that many ppl who still uses their old TnT2-cards today , so I think Matrox did an exellent job with the G400-series. I'll Soonâ„¢ build a new computer and as far as I can see it's very likely a certain card from Matrox will be in it.

My first matrox card was a G200 MMS, but I really wanted the first Matrox Millenium a long, long time ago... unfortunately, I couldn't afford it (I was a child!!).

              Now is time for Parhelia

Millennium G200, 8 MB, bought in August 1998. Paired with a voodoo1, it's still sitting in my main rig.

                    A GF4 Ti4400 - wtf is one of those

                    Millenium 2MB (OEM)
                    Mystique 4MB (Retail game pack)
Millenium G200 8MB (Retail business pack) - still in use
Millenium G400 Max (Retail) - still in use

At work it was always Milleniums and Millenium II's until my as was new Dell machine came with an onboard Rage (FFS!) then more recently another new Dell came with a Radeon VE (BAH!). Hydravision is simply NO match for Matrox Powerdesk!
                    Cheers, Reckless

                        Various flavor of onboard chip(not matrox). 8086(Amstrad), 386(IBM PS2), 486(IBM VP) <--- this one upgraded whith a ATI Mach32 ISA-card.
Then it was the introduction pentium class and PCI-bus. First of was a card with the S3-864 chip, from a unknown manufacturer.
NEXT ----> The first millenium. A great card, still running with a P90 (linux firewall).
Much later i pre-ordered the g400max & rainbow runner, but they never showed up. So i purchased a woodoo3 2000 while i was waiting for the g400.
One day, say 4 or 5 months later the g400 finally arrived. And i was very happy, best card i have owned to this day.
But gxf-cards age fast and matrox did not come up with a successor. So i had to purchase a ge3 t200.
Finaly somting happens over at Matrox, and i have now preordered the new baby.
Lets hope they are better prepared for the demand this time.

                          Retail Millenium 2Meg.
                          1994
Paid $300 for it. It was delivered to the wrong apartment.
The guy who got it refused to give it back, claimed he never received it.
When I threatened to call the police, it magically appeared on my door steps the next day.
Even criminals know the value of a Matrox.
