Crap, I paid $450 for a Diamond Stealth VRAM w/256k of VGA memory...

The first Matrox I owned was an Impressions card; which worked out well..

Whereas, the Stealth VRAM I still have in a box, along with the PC Magazine review that called it the best VGA card "ever" (and it sucked from the get go..)

My first Matrox card I believe was an Ultima+, although everything detected it as an MGA+. It was the baddest thing around! I know it cost more than a Parhelia! Then had a 2mb Millennium and then a 4mb Millenium. The 4mb card was about $300! And later a G400.

I have since had S3, ATI, NVidia, 3DFX, Appian, Fire GL and a few others. I have never been as excited about a card as a I am the Parhelia. I think it is going to be the perfect card for me, and the price is very fair. Lets not talk about the cost of the Appian or Fire GL! It still hurts when I set down.

My only Matrox card was a G100 Productiva 4 yrs ago...even now I remember the excellent image quality in Commandos...a couple of months ago I was looking for a solid (but cheap) system for a cousin and stumbled upon a G200 8MB SGRAM...it greatly tempted me to dump my Gf2MX and take the Matrox...anyways, I will clearly be getting a Parhelia this summer in my new PC, coupled with a P4 and a 19'' monitor, I shouldn't have to go to the theater to watch movies
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.
