      What's about 7.1?

Some seconds after my last post I've been at spec.org and found the new 7.1 bench. So I upgraded the 7.0 bench et voilĂ :

      These are the results:

      3dsmax-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 8.921
      drv-09 Weighted Geometric Mean = 17.69
      dx-08 Weighted Geometric Mean = 44.35
      light-06 Weighted Geometric Mean = 9.136
      proe-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 4.503
      ugs-03 Weighted Geometric Mean = 5.989

(active GigaColor, FAA-16x on demand, texture filtering & VSync depend on application, active OpenGL overlay feature, processor is Pentium4 2.66 GHz, i845GBVL board, 512 MB DDR refreshs:2225, Parhelia 128R at std. 220/275 MHz, driver 1.04.078, Win2ksp3)

The last time I used version 7 was long ago. So it's no good compare but I would say that the performance increasements are impressive!

I get really really lower result
my previous bench with spec viewperf with drviers 1.02 was really better

I have heard that viewperf likes a very high agp aperture setting, perhaps that is the problem with your results.
This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

Well, maybe TDB is right. I use 256 MB agp aperture size.

Maybe you should try it with active OpenGL overlay, too.

These are my 3ds max details:

              Ok, it's not the overlay...

Just got that result without it:
              3dsmax-02 Weighted Geometric Mean = 8.964

There seems to be no difference over normal tolerance in this case.
