God let me have time off of work to finish the review.

Well actually on that point, I've decided to make the review interactive, you all have so many different needs that I can't begin to guess them, so hopefully by the weekend, I"ll have a 'mini' review up and then take requests for further testing/exploration of the cards abilities.

@jgyearwood, havn't tried the P750 on those games - yet. but from what I'm seeing so far (and I used to run a G550 before the Parhelia arrived) the P750 (not sure about the P650 - don't have one to test/play with) would probably be a good upgrade path if Parhelia's price tag in unpalable.

The DV guys are going to love this card.

No I won't be buying one, mainly due to Matrox' current attitude towards Linux/OSS. (Voted 'Other') Go and see the support ATi are giving wrt to the R200 series - that's the way to do things. Hopefully they'll do the same with the R300 soon enough.

I am still not sure if I will go for the p-750 or not.
I am currently looking at getting me an LCD monitor and I believe I will run dual monitor with my old CRT.
I am using tv-out every now and then and it would be nice to be able to use tv-out at the same time as using dual-head.
I don't play that many games. But I would still like performance of around the level of a radeon 9600pro - as it is the alternative I am currently looking at.

I'll buy another Matrox product as soon as Dan Wood is terminated and they release a card that has the performance/features P was suppose to have without all of it's issues.

I think it is a little longer than that, at least it seems that way.

But I don't think I can intergrate them in any meaningful way. I may be able to extract and do 1 off posts with data is about all

I think there were quite a few posts in the "test" thread that really really need restoring

Yes. I really wanted Parhelia but it's too expensive.
Yes. I have an older Matrox card and this is the perfect upgrade.
Yes. I want TripleHead support with the P750.
No. It's performance is not good enough for my needs.
No. I'm waiting for something better (from Matrox)
No. I already have or will be getting a non-Matrox board.
(this last one should be: "looking at" instead of "have or will be getting")

Most likely my answer would be "no"... I'm currently using a G450, and while this satisfies my basic needs, I'm sort of looking for an upgrade.
Parhelia seems a bit too expensive (considering the performance), I fear the P750 might be similar. For my use, triplehead would be nice (in my case: 2 monitors + TV, no fiddling with cables anymore, but three monitors on my desktop would be too much), the known matrox image quality would be important, but better gaming performance would be nice (I'm no hardcore gamer, but like to play the occasional game).

@VJ: get the P750. Note that they're actually out of stock (Matrox has supplied its distributors but they're sold out right now). I've ordered one for testing for myself (didn't ever get that P128 of my dreams...). The price is not so high. Including RECUPEL, VAT and whatnot, it should not go above 240~250 €. If you need the 2xVGA + TV then grab one. I don't think you'll find a better solution at that price.

                            I won't buy a P-Series Board because I already have a Parhelia and I love it ...
but perhaps I have bought a P-750 if it was announced earlier (280€ instead of 430€, but lower performance, a good question).
