      *Simple language mode on

The chip is faster, same chip but faster, so a bit better for games.

FAA works corectly now, which means you can use it to make the screen look better at a lower resolution - in games.

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

Sorry borat, but can you please, if you have the time, do Ut2004 (or 2003) bechmarks @standard clocks? Testing the railgun map of ET (like UtwigMU said) would a effective and simple way to test FAA.

                  Hi borat,

Is the new card that much faster than older Parhelia, that it will allow you to use higher resolutions in various games. I mean, if you previously had played certain games with 1024x768x32-bit @medium/high details (for example) and now keep the quality settings the same with the new card, will you get playable framerates at 1280x960 or 1280x1024 ?

Or if you have three monitors, then how about changing from 3072x768 --> 3840x1024 ?

I know this depends a lot on a game itself and one game doesn't necessarily speak for overall behavior. However, I am considering of buying three LCD monitors sooner or later and then it would be nice, if I could play most games with LCD's native resolution (1280x1024).

Does anybody believe that we see something faster than P8x from Matrox the next time?
An upgrade from Parhelia to P8x would not be a good idea, if they release something new (I know, there will not be DX9 gamer card, I'm talking about another small step forward ), which is again a bit faster...

im going to run some UT2003/2004 benchies in a second. Will also experiment with hisher surround gaming resolutions. This card is not for hardcore gamers who need dx9 and all that it brings, better to wait for upcoming nvid and ati cards if thats what you want. If you want the fastest surround gaming card(thats whats important to me) then this is it.

If he knew so much then he'd also know what this card was taped out at and the projected running speed was.

I do dislike putting the smack down on him, but he played alot of people. Much like Jorden did and leaked alot of info while playing Matrox for fools so he could gain viewership on his site.
Is this directed at me Greebe? If so then i know nothing of the behind the scenes goings on at matrox, all i did was buy the card and then tell people what i did with it. I have no NDA's with matrox and have never worked for them or in co-operation with them. I am just an end customer.I have leaked no info, because its already publically available - anybody can buy a card from the suppliers that i bought from, so really its matrox fault for releasing a card before making a press statement if they feel like fools. I have done nothing wrong in posting my results. Shame they lost their customer base by releasing a below parr part 2 years ago if this one was almost ready.
