yes sorry for the poor pic quality, i have the new akasa copper heatsink on and it will now clock higher but the strangest thing happens, in the benchmarks the FPS suddenly drop down to what stock speeds would have been getting, looks like some kind of thermal throttling to stop it overheating or something like that. Also i dont like the new inplementation of faa, its missing things that the old P anti aliased, will post a pic from operation flashpoint to illustrate.

interesting. it is being hit at the peak of the hill, but not at the side. oddd....

and of course, it is not hitting the edge between the grass and the house.

IMHO, FAA would have been better if they simply AA'd every poly edge. it would have produced a lot of unnessicary work compared to FAA as it stands, but it could have improved picture quality. especially with this new core revision, it should have the ability to handle the increased work load.

Ok, just looked at the following page and there are some german stores that seems some have the 8X AGP version of the Parhelia:

              Matrox PH-A8X128-S
              PARHELIA-512 128MB DDR
              It's starting with ~330,00 EUR!

I'm currently making a UT2003 benchmark with my "old" retail Parhelia.
I can overclock my AthlonXP 2500+ Barton to a 3200+ without any problem, so I get 2200MHz (real MHz).
I can reach 24xx MHz only be inc the voltage.
Maybe this is comparable with Borat's 2475 MHz Athlon (as it's shown in the Aquamark Benchmark page). I've installed the DX9 Beta driver from May 2004.

Btw, two places in the US are selling them.

Widgets, Inc. has them for $350, and Antares has them for $342.

Tell me what you set your CPU at to benchmark and what you want me to clock P8x to and ill set mine at the same speed, but my memory will only do 166 so i am not sure if the FSB will tally, should provide a decent comparison though.

                    Hi Borat!

Ok, I've been running the Parhelia with stock speed (RETAIL version).
                    Used UT2003 - with latest Patch 2225!
                    Only 1024x768 (15" EIZO TFT).
Parhelia DX9 beta driver from May 2004, VSYNC turned off.
I tried NoAA and 16xFAA. My results are way off the results from XHotKoalaX (flyby mode).

The results are with my Athlon XP 2500+ (Barton 166MHz*11=1840MHz):

                    NoAA:
                    Flyby: 113,365112
                    Botmatch: 56,419964

                    16xFAA
                    Flyby: 72,461632
                    Botmatch: 47,288212

The results are with my Athlon XP 2500+@3200+ speed (200MHz*11=2200MHz; NOTE: Memory still running at 166 MHz!):

                    NoAA:
                    Flyby: 114,003189
                    Botmatch: 58,853153

                    16xFAA
                    Flyby: 72,466087
                    Botmatch: 47,782330

I'll try to recheck the 200MHz FSB results with higher memory clock.
                    I've only 512 MB RAM.
[edit: added the results for @3200+ with memory set to 200MHz; 8,3,3,3]

                    NoAA:
                    Flyby: 114,119011
                    Botmatch: 63,420483

                    16xFAA
                    Flyby: 72,500717
                    Botmatch: 47,930443

I always ran the benchmark twice to see if the results are stable!

Monarch Computers also has the 8x Parhelia in stock (supposedly).

They might be waiting for retail channels to clear P AGP4X stocks.

why would you announce a card revision that fixes a problem that doesn't exist to start with?

I wouldn't buy from Monarch. I've had a bad time with them.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

My P is running with a 14% overclock. However, when I bump up my CPU speed to match yours I still lead you by a decent margin in botmatch with the P at stock speeds. Using the certified 1.04 drivers. RAM settings at 11, 2, 2, 2.

                                Stock 220 MHz Core
                                63.85 - 13% no FAA
                                51.55 - 9% with FAA

Runs were done 3 times with the arithmetic mean of the sums taken. Is something a bit off on your system? Not running anything intensive are you?
