I agree. I tried to order a Parhelia from them when they were first released, and after 2 weeks they had not even shipped it. If I remember right, I canceled it and purchased it from a different vendor.

Maybe it's time for a clean install.
I first have to backup my Divx encoding stuff (including Registry) and then I go for a clean install.

Che Guevara
If you tell me some scenes in UT2003, operation flashpiont or FS2004 where the origional P faa misses edges ill run mine over the same scenes and see what extra it does and what it misses still.

Talk about a dream, try to make it real.
Price 366 Eur (cheapest of all parhelias.)
in stock: 0 items
Delivery time: 1-3 days
And notice that Parhelia AGP4x Retail status in same store is "Loppu" which means "Out of Stock" or "not available anymore". And in this case, it looks like to be latter one, because it does not have price at all anymore.
heres the UT2003 benchmarks:
System, barton@2197Mhz, fsb 169Mhz.
P8x@250/300:
1024x768
no faa
139.39
59.42
1024x768 16xfaa
78.61
49.59
P8x@305/392
1024x768 no faa
161.99
60.12
305/392
1024x768 16x faa
100.84
56.66
Hope that helps for comparisons sake, whoever asked about surround gaming i can now run operation flashpoint and unreal comfortably at 3072x768 - with faa and aniso. This was too slow for me with the old P.

had a play with it tonight and highest stable values with faa and aniso are 310/396. Not going to bother trying to oc any higher as 315 is completely unstable and memory corrupts at 399.

I don't have any benchmarking tools and I'm not sure I understand all the technical stuff here in this thread...
BUT ... as I say ... my PHA8x128 arrived today ... and I've been playing around a bit.... with TH games.
Here's some findings after just a couple of hours this afternoon...
Midnight Club II...
With the 4X ... I used to run it at 3072x768 ... FAA didn't work ... some textures were transparent or semi-transparent... and I had the shadows turned off to help with performance.
With the 8X ... It runs smooth at 3072x768 ... FAA works... the textures are no longer transparent and I can have the shadows turned on !
MB World Racing...
With the 4X ... I used to run it at 3072x768 FAA worked fine but a high view distance would cause the car shadows to be corrupt.
With the 8X ... It runs smooth at 3480x1024 FAA still works fine but the high view distance does not cause the car shadows to be corrupt !
(I've been using a new tool to get this working perfect in Surround... get it here ...http://toca.game-editing.net/)
ToCA Race Driver ...
With the 4X ... I used to run it at 3072x768 ... FAA didn't work ... all the graphics settings were high but not at their highest
With the 8X ... It runs at 3480x1024 FAA now works and all the graphics settings are at their highest !
GTA Vice City ...
With the 4X ... I used to run it at 3072x768 FAA worked fine.
With the 8X ... It runs smooth at 3480x1024 FAA still works fine !
NFSU ...
With the 4X ... I used to run it at 2400x600 FAA worked fine.
With the 8X ... It runs smooth at 3072x768 FAA still works fine !
Painkiller ... FAA didn't work now it does!
CMR4 ... FAA didn't work now it does !
I will play some more tomorrow....
Cheers,
Paddywak

Surround Gaming - The way it's meant to be played
Oh well i think we can say this is the chip that the original P should've been, things would've looked much better for matrox then. One can only speculate how fast they fixed all the flaws in the original chip, but my guess is that it was within the first months after P4x was released. So what caused the delay to see actual cards with the P8x?
