As I've understood, u can't launch now any OpenGL game with or without TurboGL.
Seems like your system has a mess of all these derivers and dll's. So OpenGL subsystem was put out of order. I had such prob with TNT2 video card 2 months ago. Any OpenGL game refused to work. Any game, that could work in OpenGL mode refused to work in this mode. In my case, I've reinstalled Windows in2 the new directory & problem was solved.
If u still have desire to make your system work, think full reinstallation may help. Reinstallation into the new directory and installation of 5.30 drivers, that seems 2 work more stable with VIA chipsets. 2 be sure, that there is no power supply issue, think it would be better 2 remove all other cards up to the point u manage to launch OpenGL game.
As about TurboGL 1.3, it looks 2 me, that common ICD (in 5.52 drivers) runs better in Quake3, so is it neccessary 2 make TGL work?
I have a G400 32 meg and its great, I've had a few conflicts but for the most part I'm happy with it. I mean its not the fastest Quake III card on the market, but I could care less anyways. Personally I don't think there is a 32 meg card out there with the 'eye candy' that the G400 gives. I did notice though when I upgraded from 64 megs to 128 megs of ram a huge improvement in performance and that I didn't get any swap in higher resolutions. As far as TURBO gl goes, I haven't bothered with it yet. I get anywhere from 50 to 250 fps in counterstrike @ 1024 X 768 so I don't need anyhting else...yet.
