do you need to be in devmode?
The Welsh support two teams when it comes to rugby. Wales of course, and anyone else playing England

          Yes, Paddy, you're right.

I just noticed that my Far Cry shortcut target says:
          "...\Far Cry\Bin32\FarCry.exe" -devmode

I just started the last level(Volcano). The one before that, The Dam, is brutal! Running around without a gun while monsters chase you, jumping off waterfalls, climbing over lava! I almost had to cheat to pass the part where you run up the lava mountain. I finally made it though. Now that I am at the last level, I can honestly say that this game was extremely fun. Worth every penny. I haven't heard anyone complain about the end so I guess it won't be too bad. I'll find out soon enough.

I found that when playing in Surround having to type in ...\fov 180 ... after each time I used the binoculars or got in or out of a vehicle a right pain in the butt ....
so ... I asked Dave at ToCA EDIT if he could create a FOV Hack tool ... he did get it here ...

I am playing with all in game settings on highest, and it plays plenty smooth on my Radeon 9500 Pro. I guess the Athlon XP @ 2.4GHz is helping it along nicely

I am just on the level where I got the nuke.. hopefully close to the end by now, although I really enjoyed it so far, it is taking a fair bit of my time. ( read: girlfriend wants me not to be in front of the computer every night )

I've been playing around with the settings for running in Surround ....

I was running it at 2400x600 with everything at the lowest settings ... it was OK.

So I tried it at 1920x480 ... sounds bad but with FAA-16x it isn't ... (and those trees in your peripheral vision look pretty bad at any resolution)
Anyway at 1920x480 you can have the Texture Quality and Environment Quality settings at Very High ... .... it then runs about the same but looks so much better.

Just curious as to what settings other Surround gamers are using ..... ?

                      This chap surrendered ...
