For those of you who are following development of and are eager to see the Sci-Fi Channel's DUNE television series, due this December, the official site, at http://www.scifi.com/dune/ has been updated with the first pictures of the Guild Agent, and the first answer is up in the ongoing series titled "Ask John Harrison", in which the writer/director of the series takes on questions from the audience.

It can be found here. There is also an interview in the features section with script supervisor Lori Wyant, and ALL of this stuff is worth checking out, especially if you're one of the hopeful, waiting to see how this series will turn out.

WOW! That is incredibly good news. I still remember watching Dune in the theatre when it first came out. Never have I wanted to like a movie as much as I wanted to like Dune... and just couldn't. Good intentions, could tell what the director had in mind, and... just couldn't pull it off. Sigh.

6 hours should do the first book justice.

Well, now that SciFi channel has shown the guts to try this, maybe they (or another channel) might give LOTR an try (12 to 16 hours should do it).

If I'm not mistaken, isn't someone already going to make LOTR as a real movie? I've heard something about this, but don't know too much obviously....

          Thanks for the link Ahartman!
