    LS, you are one of the 2.4 kids.

    It's STATISTICS! (don't worry, you'll learn it in high-school) It must be a Western World (sp?) average. I don't think they count Third World countries. It would be MUCH higher if they did. Guess how they spend their time at night in Burkina Faso, when there is no TV to watch?

      Jake,

      Never heard the term 'tvillingehus' while I was in Denmark. Raekeehus was the closest thing I saw to a US Duplex. Raekkehus are just smaller than a townhouse. I lived in Esbjerg for 6 months and saw plenty of those. Apartments/flats in the US are not like raekeehuser.

      I've now been high speedless at home for over two months. It sucks.

        Jammrock,

        You lived in Esbjerg? Kewl! I seem to remember you posting about that a long time ago, but I forget the details. You were here on a mission or sumtin? We get a lot of missionairies (mostly mormons) in Esbjerg. Most of them are midwestern boyz like you.

        In the burbs here there are LOTS of twin-houses. Lived in one myself for a few years.

        Cheers,

        Jake

          Hey, I never knew they teach these things in high school. Instead, we learn silly things like finding the measurements of a triangle's sides!

              What kinda useless stuff...

              Oh come on.. don't tell me that you think the mandatory 12 english courses you have to take from Grade 1 - Grade 13 (in Canada) are useless.

              You would think that after those 12 plus an additional 4 semester of english in collage that most people would be able to make a sentance that didn't run on and had proper structure of the sentances with grammer and stuff withe propar speling and stuff and woudl make cents and not have improper use of subjects and stuff.

              LOL...

              Something tells me the school system here in Canada is flawed as I notice that most europeans posting here, with english as a secondary or tetriary language, can put together a post with better composition

                        Jake,

                        Jeg boede i Esbjerg i (fra?) August 1994 - Februar 1995. Jeg hvar omkring 0,5 km fra strogeten (if I remember how to spell it right). I was a Mormon missionary there, so say hi to the new guys if you see them. I can still speak Danish pretty fluently, but my spelling is going down the drain. My mom is Norwegian so I can keep up the skillz by talking to her. I don't remember any tvillinghus in the burbs though...

                        Kender du nogle gode ordboger 'online'? Jeg har fundet nogle, men de er ikke saa gode. Tak!

                          Doppelhaus = Semi-detached house
                          Einfamilienhaus = Detached house

                          A flat usually only refers to a single floor house, in a multi-story block (not a nice condiminium ), a semi-detached house seems to be the one, no?

                                Snake, are you sure you're not under medical care? Cause associating your self to butter is not a good thing especially as it´s not good for your health.

                                Here we call a never ending row of houses attached to each other as: "radhus"

                                That was all of today´s lesson in Swedish vocabulary.

                                Denmark sucks!!!
