          if salami counts I have already eaten horse and I am not sure if they cook it before making salami from it...

            We know what sauerkraut is. It's easy to get here. Goes well on hot dogs, and pork.

              No wombat... SauerKraut isn't the same as our sauerkraut.

              Over there it is a meal of eggs and bacon with homefries cooked on a bitter Naked German Midgets rear...

              The food is Naturally Sun toasted served bottoms up with a Shot of Vodka for dessert.

              Its quite a dinner feast so I have heard.. LOL

                raw beef, raw horse, raw fish (aka sashimi) works on the same prinicple here, there is always a dipping sauce (and in my case always lots of sake or beer before so i can cope with the idea )

                    I don't quite know what salami you ate, Wolfgang, but in about all the countries I ate it, it was made of beef and pork.

                    I don't quite know what chorizo is made of, but that might be raw horse meat.
                    It's the extra spiced up raw saugage that you get in Spain.

                      Mexican chorizo and Spanish chorizo are spiced very differently, but I've never heard of either being raw. It's tasty stuff though. Almost always pork.

                      Horse salami is not unheard of, but not what you usually get in the deli.

                        Errmm... what is it then in your opinion?
                        As far as I know it's just raw meat with some additions of spices and preservatives, so you can keep it out of your fridge for more than 3 hours

                            Whats wrong with cheese everything smells orrid tastes orrid. Yuk.
                            My Friend now says shes not a veggie. Bottling out or what. Still insists that fish isn't meat though.

                              The best way to get a vegetarian to shut the hell up is to ask them if they could survive without supplements. Because they can't. The more enlightened amongst them will start ranting about okra and kelp and soybeans and whatnot... but the simple truth remains that human beings were designed to eat the dead flesh of other animals, and the nutrients we need aren't to be found anywhere else.
                              Sorry Gurm but you’re way wrong here.

                              My girlfriend has been a veggie since the age of seven, she doesn't rant on about it she just does it, and it’s her choice. I eat meat, she’ll even cook me meat (when she does cook, which ain’t too often ) and she doesn’t rant on about that either. She doesn’t eat kelp or okra. She does eat some soy beans products but that’s because she likes them, and she doesn't take suppliments.

                              A few points:

                              1. Vegetarians don’t eat anything that has be produced from a dead animal and this includes fish.
                              2. Vegetarians do eat diary products. Cheese, eggs, milk, etc.
                              3. People who don’t eat any meat or animal products (eggs, cheese, milk, etc.) are called vegans.
                              4. Some cheeses (the hard ones) contain animal rennet, veggies won’t eat those.
                              5. Guinness is not the only veggie beer, far from it (This is very well researched ); Stella, Beck’s, Lowenbrau, Kronenberg, Budweiser, Kingfisher, etc. are all veggie. Heineken and Carling aren’t.
                              6. You can get all the necessary nutrients from fruit and veg, you don’t need to eat meat or take supplements.
                              7. Most white wines are veggie.
                              8. Most red wines aren’t.
                              9. Beef burgers are nice

                              I have heard this argument before. Meat is muscle. Fish have muscles therefore they have meat. What does you friend think she’s eating? Cabbage?

                                Ok, some thoughts:

                                1. Milk - Jord, hate to break it to you (and anyone else who responded to this), but after being pasteurized and homogenized milk is a pale blue color. Nobody would drink it - it just looks too gross. Therefore, they add emulsifiers to make it frothy and white again. Every industrialized nation does it. And the primary component in these emulsifiers is a gross little bottom-feeding fish that is both non-kosher and non-vegetarian. Yuck. The only way you would NOT have this is if your milk comes straight from the cow to you, passing perhaps through a hot vat. Most places don't do it that way.

                                2. Eggs - so all y'all veggies think it's OK to eat dead baby animals, just not dead adult animals?

                                3. Cheese - made from small animals (bacteria). So small animals are ok? How small must the animal be for it to be OK to eat it? Less than an inch? Less than a micron? I'd love to hear your standard!
