Wombat isn't that the same with all countries. Everyones always happy to make money (Arms deals etc) but don't like it when the hand that feeds gets bitten.

Just a foot note to this....

The US President George Jnr has stated now that Talibhan soldiers in cuba SHOULD be held under the terms of Geneva Convention. A change? OH! I THINK SO!

Even the US govt couldnt justify that anymore. Has anyone seen the ACTUAL The Red Cross report on conditions?

This was announced last week, I know, but I forgot to post it then. I have not noticed a new thread condeming this since, so I have added it here.

I've haven't seen it but I thought it said they were being kept quite humanly and weren't being mistreated.
More interesting was the release of the chap the FBI wanted for training one or all the attackers. It was reported that the FBI failed to supply any evidance linking the man to the crime. If they hadn't any evidance they should have said sooner as it gives the autoamerican haters more ammo.

I think they've said that the Geneva Convention applies to the Taliban, but not al-Queda. Also, they are not applying the section which concerns POWs.

          Round and round we go.
