Most of the mosques outside of the middle east & central asia are funded by the Wahabi sect from Saudi Arabia. They are the ones responsible for those religious schools the Taliban and UBL recruited from.

We have Wahabi funded mosques in the Detroit area, which makes everyone feel real secure

This is not unusual. The terrorist cell broken up in Oregon was based in a Wahabi funded mosque.

I'm sure those in the UK can tell you chapter and verse about the one in London

you wont find things about protest... most actions that do hapen hapen on a root level..... a decision by freinds and famly to opose the shit that religious people say... and as far as arabs are concerned belive me when i say that they for some reason unknown to me .. do not know how to agree with each other on things... the most that they do is talk... and it stops at that...... the arab culture is difrent from that of the western world... dont expect them to act in the same way....

Why not? They sure as hell don't have any problem marching in support of 9/11 and similar events.

        Selective outrage?

Marches organized by those in power have no meaning....

....sort of like the women of Iran walking out to protest US bombing of Afghanistan...

....or Soviet citizens protesting in front of the French embassy during the cold war (my parents have told me much of what this was like, IE: get two weeks off work for protesting for 1hr)...

I deleted the last three post due to my insensitivity comments toward Spiral.

              I apologize.

But guys, do give Spiral a break.

I'll agree with you Joel....and the fact that there is much misunderstanding on both sides...

....let us use one another, rather than the profit-motivated media, to get to the bottom of this as best we can...

Delete your own post next time Joel, if you were embarassed. I wasn't ashamed of what I said, and I doubt Doc was either. You abused your mod privledges deleting other people's criticisms of you.
