the Troll Plattform is 480 meters high... and is the tallest man made structure in the world...

Btw: The first version of it sank, and created a Ricther 4 earthquake in norway...678 500 tonns. Then they buildt another one... wich fell over and then sank into the swamp.... the third one, burned down, then fell over and sunk down into the swamp... but the fourth that`s still standing.. We used to live in a lake, and every day we had to go out and sweep the lake and then go to the factory to work for 28 hours a day, paying to work there, and when we came home our dad would kill us and dance on our graves.

      Kids these days *sigh*

Well my old dad is a oily... on the Transocean rig Wildcat, for the time being in Scotland. So I know quiet a lot about the subject.
And also I served 18 months on a MTB in the Norweagen Navy, and lived by the sea all my life so I have saltwater in my veins...

So you are a Oily? working on a rig or?

Have worked on a rig in the past. Now strictly finance in the corporate centre... sitting here moving the billions around... But I grew up sailing a lot and so also have the saltwater coursing around...

Aye aye, it's nothing like the smell of saltwater... That's indeed that thing I miss the most about being in this INLAND, country Hungary, it's a really nice country, with nice people, except for that damn language, wich is so difficult. Argh, I'v learnt more russian being here than hungarian... Well enough about that..

                          So your moving money... Nice...

Interesting how far we've come in 100 years. The "wild west" was still somewhat present in 1902 as well. Wyatt Earp was still alive as was Chief Sitting Bull I believe. AC electricity had been invented only 20 years earlier by Nikola Tesla and some cities still used dangerous bare wired dc current, provided by Edison Electric, to power their lights and trolleys.

America had only been a country for 126 years

And to put in perspective (for me at least) as to how short a time ago that was, relative to the average life now.
My Great Grandmother who past away several years ago had been born in Germany just 5 years prior and moved to America shortly after that.
We have a gentlemen in my church who was 15 years old in 1902 He's still LIVING and able to tell about Horses and wagons and buckboards It must be like waking up in a dream to him to see how far we've come since he was a child.

My father was born in 1900 and when the moon landing happened he was in tears because he had lived long enough to see it. Big Buck Rogers fan during the depression....

GNEP, I've always wondered.. what happens when they drag that multibillion dollar monstrosity out into the ocean, sink it, anchor it, and then find there's no oil there?
