I only have one thing I want to say:
I want that video card that www.p3int.com used for making that real time demo.
Haig, can you at least say if that's a non-Matrox card they used and when on what (gamers)event we can see it in action ?
Kind regards,
Peter AragonPeter Aragon

Interesting. Here is a blurb from the p3int site....
"Project Three Interactive’s upcoming release, New World Order, got yet another boost today as Matrox explicitly pledged their support for the highly anticipated shooter. The game, being developed by Swedish studio Termite Games, is set for March 2002."
Just grasping for straws like everyone else

Uhm....
Hey Peter,
Are you sure you want that videocard?
Because at the end of the demo it says that they used a Geforce 2 GTS (and an AMD Athlon 1GHz) ;-))
(Or are you talking about another demo?)

Thanks Haig for reassuring me that the wait won't be for nothing
As for Flip-Oh:
[Dutch mode ON] Godverdomme man, je hebt me zover gekregen om die demo alweer te downloaden[Dutch mode OFF]
(translation: you bastard you made me look )
I was talking about ftp://ftp.p3int.com/NWO-movie2.avi
I especially like the motion blurring effects, stunning! I don't beleive a Gefarce can do that, at least not realtime and not even with a Gefarce 3

PeterPeter Aragon

New World Order - Rendering?
Here's something interesting ...
the Rendering for N.W.O......and Matrox is working with P3i..
-Efficient graphics/texture compression/decompression, without any quality loss
-Supports hardware T&L for increased throughput
-Advanced motion blending / smoothing
There's more at
P3iLast edited by Tom; 5 November 2001, 17:15.

Oeps ;-)
(Oeps is Dutch for oops ;-)
My bad! I thought you were talking about
ftp://ftp.p3int.com/NWO-tech.exe
I was wondering what all the fuss was about, since that demo doesn't show anything amazing except for a VERY high detail level. D/loading the other demo now. Let's see what you're so excited about ;-)
Groeten,
Jorg
P.S.:
Ik moet het met 50k/s doen, maar daar is ook nog best op te wachten ;-)
