The dual-head on my millenium is rooted so I"ve found an S3 Virge 4Mb to quench my dual-head cravings..

Re: MATROX CHOSEN FOR WORLD'S FASTEST PC!
When I was scanning his site I couldn't help but wonder what he could do to AMD CPU's, would be interesting. They wouldn't OC aswell but it would still be interesting.Originally posted by Tempest
Japanese Holicho is one mean overclocker, this time he used a 2,2 GHz Northwood P4. Of course, when overclocking he'll use only the absolutely best hardware there is - that's why his display adapter is a 4 meg Matrox Millennium
Using liquid nitrogen cooling he is currently able to reach clock speeds excelling 3,5 GHz...

Re: Re: MATROX CHOSEN FOR WORLD'S FASTEST PC!
You can try asking that from another Japanese fellow, ja0hxv: http://ja0hxv.calico.jp/pai/exp8k7ah5.html
If I remember correctly the XP 2000+ is actually running at 1667 MHz, which makes the result 1667@2312. Don't compare the PiFast times with those found on my previously posted Finnish overclocking link though, they use different settings as well as a different version of PiFast.

Someone crossed the 3.7 Ghz boundary.Originally posted by Tempest
Edit: Okay, so it isn't world's fastest PC anymore: http://www.muropaketti.com/artikkeli...n2/index.phtml [/B]

are these crazy overclocks only possible in a short timespan, or do somebody actually use their computer with these settings?
it is my impression, that these overclockers do it as a hobby/sport, and that they can“t archieve a high overclock, that can run anything else than a benchmark for 5 minutes without crashing.
what is the highest STABLE overclock, that can actually be used???This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.

It's just sport. Some of those guys show their processor temp, and it's at -20C or lower. Neither practical nor sustainable.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.
