They should make the chips and let other companies produce the boards, that would give them huge profit.

Personally Le_Bob, I think the other way around - it seems to me that designing and producing the PCBs is Matrox's strength - a Matrox board with a GFFX on it would be interesting!DM says: Crunch with Matrox Users@ClimatePrediction.net

Yup - I agree with Thop. nVidia's drivers are fine from what I hear, and likely to be an awful lot better optimised than Matrox could ever manage.
Perhaps they could give nV a hand with adding 3 heads to a GFFX special editionDM says: Crunch with Matrox Users@ClimatePrediction.net

But you must accept that what you are doing can do more harm than good. You post on a public forum about pitou, that news has spread to other forums and web pages, what are matrox going to do now?
If they ignore the story and say nothing, there will be a continued drop in public confidence in matrox.
If they go public and confirm your story that Pitou is done and has been canned, there will be a continued drop in public confidence in matrox.
If they reverse their decision because of the adverse publicity and do the pitou when they don’t have either the money or its not able to compete with 9700 Pro/NV30 etc, it could kill them.
They are now in a no win situation, news of job lay-offs will only make it worse.
Accept the possible consequences of your actions, and next time, think before posting Insider information on a public forum.
