I was eroneously refering to the hopefully revised P (higher clock bug fixes agp 8x) as the P2. When in fact I was refering to the next P to be released with better performance "revised P1".
VigilAnt: "This changed, and I updated the info in the thread (if you bothered to read) as much."

Referring to the new revision of Parhelia, I agree. That will be the 8X part with other fixes as I spoke about in one of my previous editorials.
This is not Pitou.

well, now we are talking same language. I also knew that there is "New Product" at the works, but because it seems to be more far away (which is just IMO.) I decided to consentrate diging up information about new chip revision of parhelia.
Then again, it seems rather wierd that they have new and very different product numbers for AGP 8x boards (at rma.matrox.com), if we are only talking about the "New Revision".
One explanation could be that the changes in the new revision consists new chip packaging, so the pin layout might be changed.
So it's going to be the revised Parhelia with all the fixes and extra performance, everything the original P was supposed to be.
The questions are:
Price ? (ain't nobody going to give them more than 400$ for it... without bitching )
When ? (Christmas ? sure hope so... Spring ? not so good)
Also, would I be wrong in assuming that the current P with a price cut will fill the empty spot the P64 was supposed to fill ?
hello Matrox
please put the revised Parhelia out before Christmas, if there is one...
As you know, ATI+Nvidia are not sleeping:
Soon they will have their Certification Programs on (Card+Image Quality)

Parhelia Two would makes sense though, because the pronunciation is similar to P2. Maybe they'll only speed up the core clock to compete with NVidia/ATI. I hope they'll lower their prices, too, because 550$ CAD is a ludicrous price, especially when the company is so close from here.
Yeah I know (it's a french thing obviously) but Matrox HQ is in Montreal that's whay I specified that city.
Titanium is the new bling!
