0.9 ? thought it was 0.13 from 0.15 for vid cards, might have confused it with CPU process.

      The force of G-spot

      • Matrox are apparently skiping the 0.13 process and going straight to 0.09

          • This information is from a public interview with a Matrox employee I think.
And current P is 0.15 iirc.

Wasn't GeForce just made up by some guy? Part of the Nvidia's "name our new chipset" contest. Im not sure if he named it because of Ge=Geometric..

              • they named it well..

Literally Parhelia translates into "false sun" which ironically in metaphorical terms, isn't very far from the truth.

Maybe someone at Matrox marketing knows something?

                  • I always thought nVidia meant G-Force (the inertia forces experienced espescially by fighter pilots when doing sharp manoeuvers. One g-force equals the pull of gravity), but that marketing screwed it up and wrote it "GeForce" and never had the guts to correct it.

I hate that name btw, but who cares, if it sells...

An hardware source said that the VigilAnt words are only rumors. And the rumors, we know, are vaporware.

The Chinese translation of Parhelia is not that motivating either. Back translated it would be somewhat like "illusion of the sun". I think "Sun Dog" as English name sounds at least better. But the translation would be even worse.

                            • We (or at least the sensible ones here) know Vigilant is only posting rumours...

The facts don't get posted in here the facts are posted on the Matrox site.

Any information anyone posts here will be purely a rumour due to matrox's tight lips.

It just happens that some people post more acurate rumours than others... some by chance, some because they actually "know" a little bit more than others.
