Are you kidding SD? Whatever gives you joy gives me joy.

You'll have to ask a Canadian if you run any risks with your software, but you can always say they are all backups and you left your originals in Leb for security (haha). I would consider selling the monitors in Leb and get some bigger ones in Canada. Maybe sell the Chieftec too and just take the boards. Save yourself space and cost on transport. You might get enough for the monitors and case in Leb to pay a good part of new stuff in Canada. Check prices on the Web.

No need to go overboard getting holier than the Pope for Canada unless you can comfortably sell your stuff in Leb for enough to get the same or better in Canada. On the other hand, you might find that the stuff you have is ok for Lebanon, but too low scale to get going in Canada. Check it all out before you start making any big decisions. People here can help you a lot.
How can you possibly take anything seriously?
    Who cares?

Higher 'artificial' framerate in many cases, as when the source if film, the framerate is 24 fps over which 3:2 pulldown conversion is done to get ~60 Fiels/s. And when you want progressive output again, on devices which support that, you'll have to use complicated IVTC algorythms, etc, etc etc. NTSC = no thanks, except for playing videogames or interlaced source onto tv, where the extra framerate really comes into effect.

SpiralDragon: CONGRATULATIONS man!! And double that recommendation about not listening to Gurm (no offense Gurm). Quebec is a BIG damn province, and there's always has one "bad part of town" everywhere. French people RULE for the most part. Some of the nicest people I work with are French and most of them are FANTASTIC people, with a great attitude. You'll love it!!

About that NTSC business, I must say that I prefer watching an NTSC TV to a PAL TV. Less flicker. Of course watching on a monitor screen I could care less

It is mostly cold in most of canada most of the year. Not that that's mostly bad, unless your from a mostly warm place and don't like the mostly bitter cold.

If all the good people left Lebanon for a better place, what would become of Lebanon?

                            I like to congratulate you

It took over 5 years to get my permament residency in australia and i think it cost my parents a fortune. Australia is a real bitch if you want to migrate...but i think canada even worse~ All the best

What are you talking about?.. plenty warm in Canada ( the populated parts that is) except winter time. We easily hit 30+ C in the summertime here, and yes, in the winter we can hit -30C
                                Today it was some 20C
