Uh, one funny comment heard today:
"Turn on the TV, I just heard that USA has captured Saddam"
[turn on TV, a clip of the captured Saddam is shown]
"Shit, those dumb Americans have captured Santa Claus..."Last edited by Drizzt; 14 December 2003, 13:11.Sat on a pile of deads, I enjoy my oysters.

You guys should see the celebrations in Dearborn Michigan. They're dancing in the streets, waving flags, parading up and down the streets in front of Mosques and generally going nutsy.
Dearborn is the center of Michigans middle eastern population with well over 300,000 living in the metro-Detroit area.

Last one, all those shots were obviously illegal.
At least, they should be after all the childish sig-sob USA did this summer for their soldiers being shown on TV.
Releasing photos of POWs is fine, it's doing things like press conferences that is against Geneva convention (it is in Geneva, right?).Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. I think so too. Best to keep him there. He committed his crimes there and will be dealt with with sufficient harshness in Iraq. Better to let the Arabs deal with their own than to give the impression we consider ourselves their babysitters by having some "international" (read UN wussbag) tribunal try him and sentence him to some Dutch country club in den Haag for life where hard working folks like us foot his room and board and the Arabs on both sides hate us even more.

Oh, he'll sing, you watch. Time is on the interrogator's side. No one can last forever against a professional interrogator.
Each little slip up will cause his wall of bravado to collapse, stone by stone. They have lots of leverage to use against him to trip him up. He's talking and right there is Mistake #1. Mistake #2 is thinking: he's definitely thinking.
I wouldn't expect to hear anything substantiative from the Interviews/Interrogations released to the media for for a few weeks at the least. However, behind the scenes, we can expect counter-insurgency efforts to be stepped up markedly based on those interviews.
The Documents alone that they captured are solid gold and I would not be surprised in the least to see them expolited with great speed.
The Al-Tikriti Resistance just lost their Sugar Daddy, and on top of that, they likely have quite a few names and locations compromised.Last edited by MultimediaMan; 15 December 2003, 04:24.Hey, Donny! We got us a German who wants to die for his country... Oblige him. - Lt. Aldo Raine
