I guess what I am ultimately trying to say is that there is a time and place for everything and I just don't believe that prime time TV during a Super Bowl half time show was the right time nor place.

That being said though I do agree some what with this statement.

There a tons of extremely violent shows on TV all the time yet noone seems to care about that? I'd rather my son see a boob or two rather than being subjected to the constant violence that is splashed across the TV screen day and night.

You are right, that wasn't the time nor place for it. It was a poorly thought out stunt and in the end, it only pissed off more people and now we have to suffer a bunch of years of people blindingly accepting that showing a single boob on TV is a horrible thing.

Not that I don't realize your joking, BUT

I agree with the majority of ppl here in that it was uncalled for, and I was upset that the stunt got airtime. What about the naked streaker right before 2nd half kickoff? Will anyone remember him?

CBS chose not to show him doing his thing, getting tackled or arrested and carted off like a Thanksgiving day turkey. As everyone says there is a time and place for everything. I myself have no problem with breasts, and what not. Just that all the kids whom parents have been trying to bring up properly were done a great dis-service by "popular culture."

Anyhow, sorry to have spoiled some of your dinners with that streaker link.

The basis of both the Canadian ruling and one by the New York State appeals court in 1992 is that women have an equal rights claim to go topless given that men can go topless without prosecution. That said this is one of the issues where I'm in the middle. I have no problem with nudity at all, but think for comities sake it should be limited to some parks and some beaches and not to public streets. IF one has a problem with your family being exposed to nudity then at least there is a choice.

This because of my experiences in Ontario where I've seen topless windshield cleaners at stoplights and other such displays. Try explaining that to your kids sometime

Sorry to jump in late here, but I have to ask, where in Ontario did you witness this? I've never seen it. In the week after the ruling, there were some strippers taking advantage of the new law, but since they were doing it in a commercial manner (to promote the strip club) they had to stop. Other than that, I haven't seen or heard of anyone in the province going topless in public.

mmp121: Sorry, I thought it was shown live on TV, and I didn't know about the streaker. I think they should've shown both, actually. And I don't agree with you that TV shows like this are doing a "great dis-service" to kids who've been brought up "properly". It may not be in the sense the parents wanted to raise their kids in, but you can't raise your children in your own little perfect world and expect them to suddenly be mature when they leave that world for the real, outside world. And everybody who lets his children see very violent PG-rated stuff and at the same time forbids them to see genitalia (not porn, of course!) has a severe problem with sexuality, and isn't helping his kids not to develop the same problem. (I hope you understand what I mean, it's very late here...)
