If You have the feet to show - please do wear sandals.

If you dont, please dont wear sandals.
Anyhow, dont EVER mix sandals with socks.

I dont know, its just not done.

Imagine Jesus in sandals - with socks????

As I'm from neither Russia nor Japan, that makes me (and 34.15% of the voters) complete dorks without a social life.

On behalf of all those who voted Yes, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude at being able, at long last, to identify ourselves. Thanks a million but get a life, dork^2.

Brian, read the post above yours.
I wasn't expressing just my own opinion, I was expressing the way it's seen in Israel in general. I'm sure it's different for every country. Read my previous post again, it begins with "Here".
The insult at the end of your post was really unnecessary.

          It's über lame.

Either wear shoes and socks or sandals without socks.

Usually elder fat german tourists wear socks and sandals.

Or people from Pittsburgh (from pittsburghlive.com)

            Companies introduce socks for sandals

Sandals are now the footwear of choice, so most people are sliding their bare feet into spare, strappy shoes and strutting out in the world.

But for those people who tremble at the thought of looking uniform, the sock industry is pumping up summer options, Time magazine notes. Although the look has long been considered tacky in fashion land, socks for sandals are the latest thing.

Make way for Thong Tubes. They come in bright and neutral colors and even sequins and are designed to spiff up flip-flops. Hue's version is $5 at Nordstrom.

Other choices include toe covers that disappear under the shoe and help keep your feet firm and comfortable. Hue's Toe Toppers in colors such as kiwi green and pink are to be worn with sneaker slides. And sling-back slides are what they sound like, cotton spandex toes with a strap to help you feel secure and protect your foot.

You may avoid some blisters. Just try to avoid ending up in the "fashion don'ts" column.

I wear em, both. Sandals are more comfortable for my wide feet. Socks are for cushion. If you ever develop the skill to run in the front-forked sandals, you'll understand=P

In the heat of Taiwan's summer, no socks. Too much rain; soggy socks feel disgusting.

I used to wear sandals and socks in primary school, but at a certain age you realise socks and sandals or not acceptable civilised society...or where I live either.

Sweaty socks, exposed to air provide an ideal medium for bacterial and fungal growth bringing a new dimension to foot odour that should in an ideal world be a dimension that is not in our space time continuim.

Sandals + Socks = No Women for you!

I don't know what it is either but I DO know that women hate socks and sandals together, it's a woman thing I guess. I only wear sandals when on the beach.

Back wgen I was in Belleville, I used to see some guys but mostly girls wear sandals in the winter, generally they also wear them with socks, go figure.

The sandals/socks question seems like something from a seinfeld episode. One of those major questions you come about only a few times in a lifetime, like whose armrest is whose in the movie theatres. I hardly think it's unimportant
